In December 2013 Michael Kramer, IACRC’s co-founder and training director, conducted training sessions in Jakarta, Indonesia at a program for the Corruption Eradication Commission of Indonesia (KPK). The program was developed and implemented by the Basel Institute on Governance of Basel, Switzerland through its division, the International Centre for Asset Recovery.
Mr. Kramer worked closely with Thomas Lasich, an internationally recognized expert in financial investigations, to prepare and present investigation and prosecution of fraud and corruption in the procurement process. Mr. Lasich, in addition to his affiliation with the Basel Institute, is an IACRC consultant who has helped develop IACRC’s training on the financial aspects of investigations.
The training in Indonesia used IACRC’s course manual on combating corruption and fraud in international development projects which was translated into Indonesian and provided to program participants.
